So on Monday, The Actual Bear was held at gunpoint, tied up, and robbed.  All her valuable stuff was taken out of her apartment, as well as $400 in cash.  She's physically unharmed besides a bruise on her head where one of the people smacked her with the butt of the gun, but . . . well . . . it could have been worse, yes, absolutely, and I'm grateful beyond measure that it wasn't, but it was still an awful thing to have happen.

Disturbingly, the perpetrators might very well live in the same apartment complex that she does.  Yes, that's messed up.  My point being, she's seen these people's faces, one of them has a gun, and they also took her keys.  The police are supposedly on this and her locks can be changed, but there's no telling how fast either of those things will happen and these assholes are still there in the meantime.

We need to get her out of that apartment complex and into a safer one, ASAP. 

Since she's a pizza delivery driver part-time, and that's it, she doesn't have savings.  She's set up a Gofundme page for a fund to cover moving expenses and replacement of the stuff she lost, and to offset the expense of hours lost at work to all this shit.

She's staying with us in the meantime, but her cats are still over there for now.  She's going apartment hunting as soon as possible.

It's been a rocky couple of days.  She's tough, like you'd expect from An Actual Bear.  She has a lot of support from friends and family, and will not be alone until she feels safe.  This was still a fucked up thing to have happen.

So I'm asking for help.  Please signal boost, and even small donations help.  It's not an astronomical amount she's trying to raise, but they stole a lot of shit, half of which were gifts expensive enough that she wouldn't have been able to buy it for herself in the first place.

I'm all right.  I have a cold, but I'm holding up.  I'm just really worried about her.  We need to get her out of there, fast.

Any help you could give . . . I'd really appreciate.

I love my Bear and I want to get her a clean start as fast as possible.

Right now I'm exhausted and am going to try to sleep.  I love you all.  I'm sorry I don't have better news.  Like, really sorry.  Because I wish this hadn't happened at all.

I don't have a facebook, but I would like to get in contact with this person. I may be able to get her computer related pieces replaced for free or very inexpensively.

I also have a Genius pen tablet (like the wacom one) that I never use and would be willing to give her.

I just don't have any cash to offer.

This is Sarah the Actual Bear's actual girlfriend. Is there an email that you'd like me to put down for her to contact you at? We still have hope that her computer at least will be recovered, but I would DEFINITELY like some contingency plans that don't involve buying a totally new one.

Thank you so, so much for offering, and boosting. This has been an utterly horrible experience for her.
